Margaret Iuculano is a Sales Channel Development and Partnership Marketing leader with a proven track record driving many millions of dollars in revenues and profits for organizations ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 global corporations. Her rapport-building, motivational, and interpersonal connection skills along with outside-the-box thinking and business strategy innovation expertise have enabled her to establish win-win alliances with major industry players such as PeopleSoft, Microsoft, Lotus, Novell, and IBM for diverse organizations under her leadership.
Currently as Founder and Acting Executive Director for Angels for Foster Kids, Margaret has leveraged her business acumen and strategic partnership building skills to develop a successful nonprofit organization from the ground up. She has established the operating infrastructure, raised seed and operating capital, and created public awareness through extensive public speaking and authorship of My God Box, a book spotlighting foster care issues from which all proceeds accrue to the organization. Applying her strategic partnering expertise to the nonprofit world, she struck an innovative alliance with a state-run program that leverages their volunteer base to solicit donations for Angels for Foster Kids’ “DreamMakers” program—which has fulfilled the wishes of 80-plus children this past summer.
Previously as CEO and Chairman of the Board of TechSherpas, a spin-off that Margaret purchased from her former employer Kforce, she executed operational, marketing channel, and strategic alliance strategies that took the operation from a negative bottom line to a $4.8MM highly profitable business enjoying profit margins double those typical of the training industry. Strategies she implemented led to securing Microsoft’s first Gold Partner agreement, and her proven channel partnership management expertise led to invitations to serve on Microsoft’s Partner Advisory Board and Smart force’s E-Learning Board. Margaret sold TechSherpas at a profit in 2007 to found Angels for Foster Kids. In her prior role as Vice President of Training and Consulting Services for Kforce, Margaret built a successful practice, implementing an outsourcing model and channel partner strategy that secured a 5-year strategic partnership with PeopleSoft and ignited revenues to $5 million in a single year. She then went on to expand this channel model to strike alliances with Microsoft, Lotus, Novell, and IBM that ultimately represented 85% of total revenues. Margaret then greatly expanded the alliance with PeopleSoft, establishing Kforce University at their behest and partnering with Smartforce e-learning company on a $1 million project that created online training for PeopleSoft’s 4,500+ IT contractors. Margaret was heavily involved in acquisition strategy at Kforce, and led identification, purchase, and integration of multiple training companies.
As Program Office Manager and then Project Manager Education and Learning, PeopleSoft Implementation for Corning, Inc., Margaret partnered with PeopleSoft and Arthur Andersen to ensure successful delivery of end-user and technician training to 10,000 employees worldwide. She also forged a partnership with an outside vendor to develop an Intranet-based training platform that delivered $2 million in savings in its first year.
Margaret’s early career includes work as a trainer for a healthcare software company, practice management and billing department management for a large medical practice and a major hospital, and service as IT Director for a group of medical clinics. She is active in board service for diverse organizations including Angels for Foster Kids, the Tampa Bay CEO Council, United Way Women’s Leadership Board, the Tampa Bay Technology Forum, The Children’s Advocacy Board, and others. Her affiliations include the National Association of Female Executives, the Foster Care Alumni Association (where she is Vice President), ITTA Advisory Board, and the Downtown and South Shore Republican Clubs. Margaret was honored as SBA’s Business Woman of the Year in 2004 and 2006, and won Florida State’s Minority Women in Business Award in 2003, 2004, and 2005. She recently was appointed as Southeast Ambassador for “1/M Companies to Reach 1/M in Revenues by 2020,” an organization dedicated to helping entrepreneurs to scale to their full potential.
